INFIDELITY IN A RELATIONSHIP IS IT WRONG? Infidelity is very bad in a relationship than sickness.

“Once a married woman starts opening her legs for another man, she is saying: God kill my husband.”

The statement above in inverted commas trended yesterday and so many women were sharing it both married and single women.

It makes me wonder why we always seem to consider infidelity on the part of women worse than that of men.

If a married man is asking a woman to open her legs for him he isn’t saying that God should kill his wife.

He has the license to be unfaithful as the head of the family as long as he provides for his family.

Once a man starts cheating if you check you’ll find out that his wife is frustrating him with sex and so his infidelity is justified.

But when a woman is unfaithful it’s not as a result of being frustrating and mistreated by her husband.

She just decides to be unfaithful. Even if she’s frustrated she should endure and continue to pray for him to change.

We continue to create all these standards that don’t follow God’s plans for marriage.

When it comes to infidelity no one has a license to cheat.

Being the head of the family isn’t a justification to be unfaithful.

No one is allowed to be unfaithful.

Cheating leads to a lot of problems that would rock a family in the long run.

If a man is cheating on his wife, his side chick knows his wife and keeps tabs on her.

Follows her on social media and Knows her routine which the man may be providing to her.

She can harm the wife because the wife is not aware of her.

The same thing happens when a woman is cheating on her husband with another man.

Let’s stop making it look like the infidelity of women attracts worse consequences.

Infidelity is bad from anyone.

I wonder why especially women would talk down an unfaithful woman but wouldn’t do that to a man.

If you see women discussing an unfaithful woman you would marvel until they find out she’s dating their own husbands.

A few years ago a Nigerian man wrote something criticizing Pregnant Nigerian women as lazy because an 8 months pregnant female athlete took part in 800 meters race in the US

He went ahead to say that Nigerian women are so lazy and sleep throughout pregnancy while women abroad hustle until they give birth.

Is that true?

You’ve not seen women rushed to hospital from their places of work or business because they had gone into labor?

We don’t see heavily pregnant women hawking items on the road?

Women like talking down to women.

When that post trended it was shared mainly by women.

A lot of women continue to excuse infidelity once a man is doing it.

What does the Bible says about infidelity?

Hebrews 13:4

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Isaiah 47:10

You felt secure in your wickedness, you said, “No one sees me”; your wisdom and your knowledge led you astray, and you said in your heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.”

Sometimes I wonder that people who suppose to read the Bible as bread for daily use now take it as a cake for social occasion. At times am shocked when I listen to some people interpreting the Bible for their selfish desire. Below is a quote that will throw more light on what am talking about.

Jesus forgives all sin

Steve Bond, co-lead pastor, Summit Christian Church, Sparks

The Bible teaches that the blood Jesus’ shed on the cross covers all sin, including infidelity. “… the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purifies us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). This means that any sin we commit, including infidelity, can be forgiven when we come to Jesus with a repentant heart.

Steve Bond

Jesus was without sin. His perfect life allowed him to sacrifice himself on our behalf. According to the Bible, “the wages of sin is death …” (Romans 6:23). Thus, apart from Jesus’ shed blood, we are all under a death sentence because we are all sinners. But once we recognize this and appeal to Jesus, we are forgiven from all our sin.

Now is infidelity a forgivable sin?
1 Corinthians 6:18 English Standard Version

18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin[a] a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.Read full chapter

That is the position of the Bible don’t allowed anyone to fool you about committing sin.

Matthew 5:31-32

“It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Genesis 2:24

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Romans 7:2

For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage.

The above passages make it clear that infidelity is a sin and should not be practiced by anyone who follow Jesus Christ.
